Wine or winemaking were never part of my vocabulary growing up in a small town in India. In fact, it was not until I was 22 that I discovered wine. I did not take wine seriously (or may be it didn’t take me seriously) until I tasted a bottle of German Riesling. Never knew that wine would have so many layers of aromas, flavors and depth. Some are in your face and some super subtle. After spending more than 18 years as a wine geek, cork dork, working harvests and bothering winemakers, I decided to take the plunge into making wine. Riesling changed my life and it was the varietal I wanted to start with.
